Experience Required:
- You will need to be experienced in rights negotiation, acquiring, selling and negotiating rights, either from an agency or publishing background
- A solid understanding of the books market
- A solid experience of account management
- A high level of attention to detail
Preferable Experience:
Ideally experienced in the digital book market, publishing, on-line retail, audio, digital or media industries
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seek out new Content Partners
- Respond to incoming UK Content Enquiries
- Negotiate terms
- Draft contracts
- Identify recordings where download rights are unexploited and look into acquiring rights for digital distribution
- Seek out material to be produced by Audible and distributed as download-only products
- Respond to Publishers seeking advice on selection and production of download-only products
- Ensure continuous flow of material from Content Partners
- Encourage co-marketing activities with existing Content Partners
The ideal candidate should be outgoing, flexible, organized, able to prioritise and work well under pressure. He or she should have experience in rights negotiations (preferably with audiobooks, print books or sub licenses) as well as experience drafting contracts. He or she should have a good understanding of the physical and digital book markets.
