As part of the Web Development Team, you will work closely with product managers, technical leads and the user experience team focusing on creating exceptional user experiences for Audible.com and its integration with Amazon.com. The ideal candidate will be an expert with JavaScript and AJAX, CSS, XHTML and related web technologies.
Qualifications:
- Passion for developing graphical interfaces that provide a great customer experience
- 4+ years of web-based software development experience
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript/AJAX
- Expert XHTML/CSS for cross-browser rendering
- Solid knowledge of web technologies such as XHTML, XML/DOM, CSS, DHTML, JSP, Web Services, Flash, ActionScript, Flex
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Ruby on Rails is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment
- Experience designing high-performance, scalable architectures
- Building Web Applications that accommodate Search Engine Optimization (SEO) methodologies
- Analytical with the desire to measure the effectiveness of new features
- Extraordinary attention to detail and a passion for solving complex and interesting problems
- Prior experience with ecommerce application development is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work well in teams and respect and welcome ideas from partners, business stakeholders, and technical experts
- Drive full life cycle product development
- A self-starter and drive tasks to completion
- Strong written and oral presentation skills
- Collaborate with business owners to solidify requirements and create measurable shopping experiences
- Ensure customer-facing features meet style, performance and accessibility Search Engine Optimization (SEO) requirements
